Kavita, an emerging artist, a post graduate in Business Management (HR) from Delhi, is based in Chennai. Art was introduced to her at a very early age.  She took training in different art forms such as Charcoal, Water colors & Acrylic during her younger days to learn different skills. She distinctively remembers being encouraged by her Art teacher in Mayo Girls to take up Fine Arts as her main stream subject.

However, being a full-time Homemaker and raising up two great kids, art took a back seat.

After a gap of almost 2 decades, she finally got a chance to unlock this creative side of her during the Covid Lock down period in March– April 2020. With limited art material availability due to lockdown, vivid imagination & her inner persona, she started to enjoy art again. The essence of her work is self-discovery. She believes -” To be an artist is to believe in life” Henry Moore. 

Early encouragement from family & friends & deep-rooted knowledge & guidance from her Art teacher in Delhi, Mrs.  Juhi Sharma helped her to polish and update her art skills.

 Art to Kavita is soothing and therapeutic. “Bringing in more depth to paintings via the usage of colors’ and textures excite me”. Her expertise includes creating Art work in acrylic & oil, using different textures such as Scult clay, gold foil , etc.

In the words of Edgar Degas – “Art is not what you see, what you make others see”. She truly seconds these thoughts and hence takes pride & feels privileged in creating Art which are close to heart.
